South West Coast of France

As we drove through Toulons we were impressed with the hills behind the city. Looking carefully we noticed that behind the walls of an old fortress on the very top there were satellite dishes and radio communications equipment (top). It was a great spot I guess. Further along we saw evidence of more castles, towers and ancient fortifications signifying this was once a very important town (bottom).
